Hyderabad, March 25 -- Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy and other state ministers missed the state iftar party on March 25 after the Election Commission rolled out the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) a day earlier.

The MCC includes restrictions on the use of government resources for election campaigns, guidelines on election expenditure, and rules regarding political rallies and speeches.

The proposal also sought permission for the chief minister, cabinet ministers, and other public representatives to participate in these events. In response to a letter from the chief electoral officer, Telangana, dated March 24, the Election Commission stated that it has not approved the proposal.
