Hyderabad, May 19 -- Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday, May 19, launched the Indira Souragiri Jala Vikasam scheme in Nagarkurnool under which farmers will receive free solar pumps of 5 -7.5 horsepower.

The Telangana CM announced that the solar pumps will be installed in Achampet in 100 days. "Tribals in Achampet could use the pumps to generate income. Under the Forest Rights Act, 6.69 lakh acres of land (2.30 lakh ST farmers) have been granted land titles in the state," Revanth Reddy said following the inauguration.
