Hyderabad, Feb. 13 -- The counting of votes in the elections to 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations in Telangana, a test of popularity for the ruling Congress, opposition BJP and BRS, began at 8 am on Friday, February 13.

The counting process of votes is expected to take time, as ballot papers were used in the election.

Postal ballots were taken up first for counting.

2:10 pm: The AIMIM has won six seats in the Adilabad Municipal Council and is leading in two more wards.

The winning candidates are: Ward 34 (Nazeer Ahmed), Ward 22 (Sameena Begum), Ward 44 (Mohammed Roheet), Ward 17 (Kishore), Ward 8 (Nathsen), and Ward 2 (Niyatullah).
