Jammu, Aug. 13 -- A 23-year-old Kashmiri girl became the youngest candidate to crack the prestigious civil services exam. Nadia Beigh ranked 350 among 829 qualified candidates.

Beigh's parents are government school teachers. The Kashmiri girl is an graduate in Economics (Honours) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.

She cracked the exam in her second attempt. She first attempted in 2018 but could not make it through to preliminary exams.

Hailing from Punzwa village of Kupwara, Beigh completed her schooling from Kupwara district in government schools. She then attended Jamia Millia Islamia in Delhi to pursue higher education. She completed her graduation in 2017.
