Hyderabad, March 30 -- India is going to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr on Monday, March 31, as the crescent moon was sighted on Sunday.
Earlier, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Sadar Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Deccan, also known as the Moon Sighting Committee, conducted its monthly meeting to determine the date of Eid Al-Fitr in India.
The meeting was held at the Hussaini Building, Moazzam Jahi Market. It was supervised by Hazrat Maulana Syed Hassan Ibrahim Hussaini Qadri Sajjad Pasha, Secretary of Sadar Majlis Ulema Deccan.

The Hilal Committee of the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand (FIANZ) confirmed that Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated on April 1 as the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted on Sunday....
