UNITED NATIONS, March 21 -- According to a new UN report, Indian stands at 140th place in the list of Happiest Nations this year compared with the 133rd place in 2018, seven spots down from last year. The second year in a row, Finland is the world's happiest country.

The Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations released the report on March 20 as it has been declared as World Happiness Day by the UN General Assembly in 2012.

The results are based on six key factors found to support wellbeing - income, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, trust, and generosity.
