Hyderabad, Jan. 28 -- The voter list of Hyderabad is likely to shrink significantly after the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Telangana.

After Phase I in Bihar, Phase II of the SIR was conducted in nine states and three Union Territories (UTs). Telangana is likely to go for SIR in the next phase.

Impact of Telangana SIR on Hyderabad voter list

Lakhs of voters were removed from each of the 12 states and UTs, with the overall number cumulating to 6.5 crore voters deleted from the electoral rolls.
