Hyderabad, Dec. 13 -- Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) on Thursday held a round-table conference on CAB (Citizenship Amendment Bill) and its aftereffects, at its office, at Chatta Bazar. Civil rights and religious organisations including left-leaning organisations attended the meeting. The participants strongly condemned the way the Bill was passed in the Parliament without proper consensus across the country. By passing the bill, the government has tarnished the ethos of the constitution on which the nation was built, they said.
