Hyderabad, Nov. 1 -- Tappachubutra station house officer (SHO) B Abhilash was suspended on Saturday, November 1, for negligence in duty after he reportedly failed to act on a complaint from a constable of the same police station.

Sources told Siasat.com that patrol constables were conducting rounds in the Ganga Bowli area when they spotted a group of men sitting by the roadside. The policemen asked them to leave, leading to an argument. The men allegedly abused the constables, who then returned to the station and lodged a complaint.

However, the SHO did not take any action, following which the constables approached higher officials, prompting an inquiry
