Hyderabad, Jan. 24 -- A major fire broke out at a furniture store in Nampally in Hyderabad on Saturday, January 24, with at least 2-3 people feared to be trapped inside.

The fire occurred at Batcha Furniture Shop, located on the ground floor of a four-storey building, where scrap material had been stored. The blaze was reportedly triggered by accident.

According to the fire control room, 17 fire tenders have been deployed at the scene. No casualties have been reported so far, however rescue teams faced difficulties getting to the victims due to heavy smoke.

The victims are suspected to be trapped on the second cellar and efforts are underway to reach them.
