Hyderabad, March 27 -- The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) raided Amazon's warehouse in Hyderabad, confiscatingalargequantityof productsthat werefound to be non-compliant with certification standards.
Theraid wascarried out from Tuesday morning to Wednesday afternoon at theAirport Cityfacility.During theraid,officialsfound2,783 productsworthmorethanRs 50 lakhthat hadnoBIS certification, ISI mark, or thenecessaryregistration markonelectronic goods.1,937 stainless steel water bottles, 150 smartwatches, 326 wirelessearphones, and 170 mobilephonechargers were seized from the Amazon warehouse in Hyderabad.
