Hyderabad, July 23 -- Actor-producer Rana Daggubati has requested additional time to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the ongoing investigation into a betting apps scam.

The ED is currently probing allegations of money laundering linked to payments made by the operators of these illegal apps, reportedly in exchange for promotional support from celebrities.

Rana was scheduled to appear before the ED on Wednesday, July 23, but has reportedly cited prior professional commitments as the reason for seeking a deferral. The new date for his appearance is yet to be confirmed by the agency.
