Hyderabad, March 11 -- Dr. Anil Kumar took charge as Additional Director General of Police (Personnel) at the Telangana Police headquarters on Monday, March 10.

Anil Kumar's appointment is part of the significant reshuffle of IPS officers by the Telangana government, which saw 21 officers transferred across the state.

Anil Kumar, who previously headed the Telangana Special Protection Force (TSPF), a specialized unit responsible for protecting sensitive installations such as the Secretariat and Assembly, will continue to hold the post of TSPF Director-General in full additional charge until further orders.

During the tenure of the BRS government, Anil Kumar served as the state's intelligence chief.
