New Delhi, Dec. 17 -- Passenger count for Vande Bharat train services has exceeded 7.5 crore, with 164 operational trains since their launch in 2019, as reported by the Ministry of Railways.

These high-tech trains, developed under the Make in India initiative, feature advanced amenities such as automatic plug doors, rotating seats, bio-vacuum toilets, GPS-based information systems, and extensive CCTV coverage, enhancing travel safety and comfort.

They span 274 districts, linking cultural and economic hubs, which boosts travel and regional connectivity. Routes such as Delhi-Varanasi and Srinagar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra cater to pilgrims, while Bengaluru-Hyderabad serves IT professionals, emphasizing the trains' versatility.
