India, Dec. 20 -- India has taken a significant step towards clean energy with the passing of the Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India bill (SHANTI Bill) in Parliament, according to Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy.

The bill introduces a modern regulatory framework and encourages private investment in nuclear power to enhance energy resilience and security. It aims to support industries and advanced technologies while reinforcing India's position in global competitiveness.
