India, Jan. 28 -- Parliament's Budget Session will begin on January 28, 2026, with President Droupadi Murmu addressing both Houses.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to present the Budget on February 1, a unique Sunday event that necessitates special arrangements. The Economic Survey is slated to be introduced on January 29.
The session, which runs until April 2, includes a two-phase format for extensive legislative discussions and scrutinies, highlighting the government's focus on economic growth, fiscal consolidation, and key challenges in infrastructure and employment.
A total of 30 sittings are planned, where parliamentarians will deliberate on taxation, public expenditure, and policy reforms.
