India, Sept. 5 -- NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Coal, has achieved significant recognition with all its operating mines receiving prestigious Star Ratings from the Ministry of Coal for the 2023-24 period, underscoring its leadership in sustainable mining and operational excellence.

The Star Rating framework, established in 2019 to foster competitiveness and responsible mining practices, assesses mines across seven parameters, including operations, environment, safety, rehabilitation, technology adoption, and worker welfare. NLCIL has consistently participated since the framework's inception.
