New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- India's Electronics and IT Secretary S. Krishnan announced that the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, will be notified soon.

The law bans the offering, operation, facilitation, promotion, advertising, and participation in online money games, as well as regulating and promoting social, educational, and esports games.

Following the government's move, all online money gaming platforms, including Dream11, Pokerbazi, Rummy Circle and others, have discontinued their money gaming contests.
