India, Dec. 31 -- The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended the deadline for filing financial statements and annual returns under the Companies Act to January 31, 2026, in response to numerous complaints regarding technical issues on the MCA portal.

The original deadline of December 31, 2025, was deemed unmanageable due to frequent timeouts and system errors experienced by filers attempting to submit their documents.

This extension applies to annual filings for the financial year 2024-25, which are mandatory for companies and include critical disclosures related to financial performance and regulatory compliance.
