India, Jan. 4 -- Indian nationals are advised by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to avoid all non-essential travel to Venezuela due to a rapidly evolving security situation.

The MEA did not specify reasons but urged heightened caution. Indians currently in Venezuela are advised to limit movement, stay vigilant, and maintain contact with the Embassy in Caracas, sharing contact details for assistance.

The advisory follows escalating tensions following the reported evacuation of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro by US forces amid allegations of drug trafficking and corruption against his government, heightening risks for foreign nationals.
