India, Jan. 20 -- India's Department of Fisheries will host a roundtable conference on January 21 with ambassadors from 83 countries to promote seafood exports.
Ranking as the sixth-largest seafood exporter, India achieved 16.98 lakh metric tonnes in 2024-25, valued at Rs 62,408 crore ($7.45 billion).
The event, chaired by Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, aims to facilitate discussions on seafood trade, market access, and cooperation, focusing on sustainability and resilience in value chains.
