New Delhi, Nov. 11 -- India is set to command 10% of global green hydrogen demand by 2030, as stated by Union Minister Shripad Y. Naik during the International Conference on Green Hydrogen.

He highlighted India's rapid energy transition, emphasizing a target of 500 GW of non-fossil-fuel capacity by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2070. With nearly 260 GW of installed non-fossil capacity, primarily from solar and wind, India aims to lead the green hydrogen revolution.

The green hydrogen market is projected to grow at 20-40% annually, with India becoming a major producer and exporter. The National Green Hydrogen Mission, launched in January 2023, has progressed significantly with substantial investments and project approvals.
