New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- India's green hydrogen production capacity is projected to reach 5 million metric tonnes per annum by 2030, as reported to Parliament.
The National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) aims to position India as a global leader in green hydrogen production, use, and export. Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Shripad Yesso Naik, highlighted various incentives and manufacturing initiatives designed to lower production costs.
Fifteen companies have been awarded a total manufacturing capability of 3,000 MW per annum with incentives worth Rs 4,440 crore for electrolyser manufacturing, while 18 companies have secured a cumulative production capacity of 862,000 tonnes per annum for green hydrogen.
