India, Jan. 9 -- India reaffirms its commitment to the International Solar Alliance (ISA) following the United States' withdrawal from 66 international organizations, including the ISA.
A senior government official stated that India will continue collaborating with ISA member countries, focusing particularly on supporting Least Developed Countries and Small Island Developing States in solar energy development, financing, capability building, and risk management.
This move comes in the wake of President Trump's executive order aimed at suspending US support for multiple international groups, reflecting the administration's distancing from climate agreements such as the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
