India, Dec. 27 -- India has become the second largest mobile manufacturing country globally, according to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The nation's electronics production has increased six-fold, with exports rising eightfold over the last eleven years, significantly aided by the Production Linked Incentive Scheme.

This initiative has attracted over Rs 13,475 crore in investments and has led to a production worth Rs 9.8 lakh crore, creating over 1.3 lakh jobs in the past five years.
