India, Jan. 30 -- The Centre will soon introduce a new policy on Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) to strengthen the entire biogas value chain, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said at India Energy Week in Goa.

The policy will focus on financial support for biomass aggregation machinery and expansion of pipeline infrastructure to improve gas transportation and distribution. Puri said the new framework will build on discussions held during the event and further reinforce India's already robust CBG ecosystem.
