Shimla, June 24 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday reached Dubai, aiming to attract investments for the hill state, an official said here.

Accompanied by Industries Minister Bikram Singh and a high-level delegation, including senior officials of the state, Thakur is on a four-day visit to the UAE.

The purpose of the visit is to project Himachal Pradesh as an attractive investment destination in horticulture, tourism, pharmaceuticals, energy, food processing, logistics, education and skill development, a government spokesperson told IANS.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to hold high-level meetings at ministerial and official levels as well as with the chambers of commerce and leading investors.
