New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- The Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, launched a Rs 100 crore Call for Proposals to support green hydrogen start-ups, offering up to Rs 5 crore per project for pilot initiatives in production, storage, transport, and utilization.

This initiative, announced at the 1st Annual Green Hydrogen R&D Conference, aims to translate research into practical solutions for industries and cities, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for the Rs 19,744 crore National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM). India has already awarded 23 R&D projects and launched pilot projects in ports, transportation, steel, and shipping sectors, with a recent green ammonia auction achieving a record low price.
