India, Feb. 23 -- The government on Monday reported that revenue generated from scrap disposal under the Swachhata campaign has reached Rs 4,405.28 crore between 2021 and January 2026.

According to the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Rs 200.21 crore was realised during December 2025-January 2026 alone, while 81,322 lakh files were weeded out across 5,188 offices as part of record management reforms.
