New Delhi, Feb. 28 -- The appointments committee of the Cabinet on Thursday approved the appointment of Finance Secretary Tuhin Kanta Pandey as the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Pandey will assume office for an initial tenure of three years. He replaces current SEBI Chairperson, Madhabi Puri Buch, whose tenure ends on March 1.
