India, Feb. 19 -- India set a Guinness World Record by collecting 250,946 pledges during a 24-hour AI Responsibility Pledge campaign, launched on February 16, 2026.
Announced at the India AI Impact Summit, the initiative promotes the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence. Participants received digital badges and engaged with key principles like data privacy and accountability.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized the importance of responsible AI, attributing the initiative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for societal benefits through technology. The campaign surpassed its target of 5,000 pledges, highlighting public engagement in responsible AI adoption.
