New Delhi, Nov. 4 -- Construction of the bullet train station in Ahmedabad is progressing rapidly, with Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stating it is in an advanced stage.

The station, part of the broader redevelopment of over 1,300 railway stations nationwide, will be integrated with the Ahmedabad railway station to enhance passenger transfer facilities.

The project includes additional platforms, increasing capacity, and is expected to become operational by 2029. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor, India's first, will significantly reduce travel time to approximately two hours and seven minutes.
