Bhubaneswar, March 15 -- A youth was stabbed to death during the celebration of Holi in the Odisha capital here today.

The incident took place at Shantipalli slum in Sahid Nagar area of the city in the afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Gopi Guni.

As per reports, some miscreants picked up an argument with Gopi's uncle Akash Guni over some issues during the celebration of Holi at Shantipalli.

The miscreants attacked Gopi with knives when he tried to intervene. He sustained grievous injuries in the attack and died on the spot.

The miscreants also attacked Gopi's wife when she tried to save her husband. It is suspected that the miscreants attacked the youth over past enmity.
