Bhubaneswar, April 20 -- A male tiger from the central Indian landscape has reportedly travelled across three states to reach Odisha.

This was revealed by the Wildlife wing of Forest department today.

The male tiger has been captured in camera trap close to Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, said the Forest department.

"This male tiger has travelled across 3 states from central Indian landscape and has been camera trapped close to Similipal Tiger Reserve. Exciting prospects of adding to the gene pool of the STR," said Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Susanta Nanda in a Twitter (X) post today.
