Bangkok, Jan. 12 -- Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal has been forced to withdraw from the Thailand Open after she reportedly tested positive for Covid-19.

According to reports, Saina returned positive in her third round of Covid-19 test on Monday. She was slated to take on Kisona Selvaduray of Malaysia in her opening round contest on Tuesday. While the news of her positive Covid-19 test has not been confirmed by the BWF, the official website of the Badminton World Federation did show the walkover result.

Saina last participated in the All England Open in March last year and Tuesday's game was supposed to be her first since the outbreak of coronavirus.
