Bhubaneswar, April 27 -- There will be no respite from the heatwave across Odisha in upcoming days as the prevailing hot and humid conditions are likely to continue till the second week of May.

According to weather scientist of Bhubaneswar MeT, Umasankar Das, no heavy rain is on the card and the heatwave conditions will continue till May second week.

The month of April has broken unprecedented temperature records this year. While Bhubaneswar stood above 40 degree Celsius in the last 12 days, similar conditions continued in more than 15 districts of the state. As rain is not in the forecast for upcoming days, there will be hotter days ahead till the second week of May, the weatherman said.
