Cuttack, July 13 -- At least 44 students of Ravenshaw University in Cuttack have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital after showing symptoms of food poisoning, triggering concern over hostel food safety.

According to initial reports, the students complained of diarrhoea and uneasiness after consuming food served in the university hostels. Among the affected, 37 students are from the New PG Hostel, while 7 belong to the Dharmapada Hostel.

All the affected students are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital and are under constant medical supervision.
