Bhubaneswar, Nov. 22 -- Cold wave conditions intensified in Odisha as mercury plummeted below 15 degree Celsius in four places of the state today.

Sonepur recorded the lowest temperature of the day at 11.4 degree Celsius, followed by Jharsuguda (13.4), Phulbani (14.3), and Talcher (14.6).

On the other hand, dense fog blanketed Bhawanipatna and Phulbani this morning as the visibility in the areas was below 50 metres, the Regional Meteorological Centre said.

The agency has also forecasted of light to moderate rain or thundershower at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and Koraput today.
