India, Feb. 17 -- The Budget Session of the Odisha State Legislative Assembly began with an extensive address by Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, outlining the state government's long-term vision for inclusive growth, economic transformation and social development by 2047.

The Governor said Odisha aims to raise per capita income from Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 32 lakh by 2047, reduce multidimensional poverty to below 5 per cent, increase women's workforce participation to 70 per cent and raise life expectancy beyond 80 years.
