India, July 9 -- In a significant reshuffle at the IPS level, the Odisha government has issued fresh orders transferring and posting several senior police officers with immediate effect.

Senior IPS officer Sanjeeb Panda (RR 1994), who was serving as ADG, Training and Director of Biju Patnaik State Police Academy (BPSPA), has been appointed as ADG, Anti-Naxal Operations. He will now oversee both the Special Intelligence Wing (SIW) and Anti-Naxal Operations, and will report directly to the Director General & Inspector General of Police, Odisha.

Meanwhile, Anup Kumar Sahoo (RR 2006), IGP, Training, will remain in charge of Director, BPSPA until further notice.
