Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- A couple allegedly died by suicide by jumping before a moving train in Odisha's Nuapada district last night.

The deceased have been identified as Jaduram Pandey (58) and his wife Jambai Pandey (56) of Silda village under Nuapada police limits.

Jaduram and Jambai reportedly jumped before the Visakhapatnam-Durg Vande Bharat Express near Kalyanpur level crossing in Nuapda while returning home from a relative's house last night.

On being informed, Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel from Kantabanji seized the bodies and sent them for postmortem after registering a case in this regard.
