Angul, May 20 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised zero electricity bill for the consumers if his party BJP is voted to power in the Odisha Assembly Elections.

"We will make the electricity bill zero for the consumers under PM Surya Ghar Yojana if the party comes to power in Odisha. Under the scheme, the government will pay Rs 75,000 subsidiary to the beneficiaries for the installation of solar panels on the rooftop of houses to avail free electricity upto 300 units. The consumer can sell the surplus power generated from the solar panel," he said.
