India, June 22 -- A missing woman was found hanging from a tree near Naugaon village in Odisha's Puri district. Police recovered the body today.

The deceased has been identified as Babita Sahoo, wife of Nabaghan Sahoo of Chauliabasta under Nimapara block in Puri district.

According to reports, Babita, mother of a 4-year-old son, was missing for last two days. Her family had lodged a missing complaint with the local police.

She was found hanging from a tree with her saree.

However, her family alleged that she was murdered. The police launched investigation based on the allegation.
