Bhubaneswar, April 2 -- The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued heat wave warning for several districts of Odisha for April 4 and 5.

Due to prevailing northwesterly/ westerly dry air and high solar insolation, maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise by 2 to 4degC over the districts of Odisha during next 2 days. Consequently, maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to be more than 40degC at many places over the districts of Odisha and likely to be above normal by 3 to 5degC during 4th to 6th March, the Meteorological Centre forecasted.
