Boudh, March 17 -- A local police team raided a place in Bidamaska forest near Dimirikhol village in Boudh district and seized Ganja (cannabis) weighing around 1,560 kilograms following the drive. However, three to four persons involved in the smuggling of the contraband item managed to flee from the spot.

"Police were tipped off in the morning that a huge cache of Ganja had been dumped. We formed a special team led by Boudh SDPO Kuldip Meena and Model police station IIC Ranjit Kumar Muni raided a place in Bidamaska forest leading to the seizure," Boudh SP Raj Prasad stated in a presser here.

"We have launched a manhunt to nab the illegal Ganja traders soon," Boudh SP said mediapersons.
