Bhubaneswar, May 23 -- A cyclonic storm is likely to form over Bay of Bengal by the morning of May 25, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted today.

On the other hand, several parts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm/ rainfall on May 25 and 26. Worth mentioning, the third phase of twin polls in Odisha will be held on May 25.

As per the agency, a cyclonic storm is likely to form over east-central Bay of Bengal by 25th May morning. Subsequently, it would move nearly northwards and reach near Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal coasts by 26th May evening as a severe cyclonic storm.
