Bhubaneswar, Sept. 30 -- As the weathermen today predicted a possible low pressure over northwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off Odisha coast during next 48 hours, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena asked the District Collectors to monitor the situation closely.

The SRC directed the districts under orange and yellow warning to remain prepared to meet any water logging and localized flood like situation in low lying areas including urban areas. He also asked the government officials to ensure functioning of control room round the clock.

He also asked the officials to ensure advice for fishermen be strictly implemented.
