Puri, March 27 -- Panic gripped Bhansar village under Delang block of Odisha's Puri district as miscreants allegedly hurled crude bombs in the locality over a petty issue, late last night.

As per reports, a heated exchange of words ensued between two groups over fetching water from a well in the village. The dispute took a violent turn as the miscreants hurled bombs, leaving the locals panic-stricken.

On being informed, police reached the place and detained four persons in connection with the incident for questioning. Remains of the exploded bombs have been collected as a part of the probe.

Efforts were on by cops to resolve the matter and pacify the two groups.
