BJD youth worker attacked with sword by BJP leader and group in Odisha's Angul
Angul, May 24 -- A seemingly innocuous incident snowballed into a political clash after a BJD worker was attacked with a sword by a BJP leader and his supporters in Odisha's Angul district on Thursday. The incident took place at Handiguda village within Chhendipada police limits.
The victim Govind Pradhan, who belonged to the same village, was first rushed to Chhendipada hospital in a critical state and then shifted to the district headquarters hospital after his condition deteriorated.
The accused were identified as Dayanidhi Sahu, a BJP leader along with his associates Dusasan Behera, Sunil Pradhan and Trailakya Pradhan.
