India, July 20 -- A 15-year-old girl from Bayabar village in Odisha's Puri district, who suffered severe burn injuries, was airlifted to AIIMS Delhi for advanced medical care on Sunday.

The minor, admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar with 70-75% burn injuries, was shifted in a fully equipped air ambulance with life support. A green corridor was created from the hospital to the Bhubaneswar airport to ensure her swift and safe transit.

According to sources, the next 48 hours are critical for the teenager. A team of medical officers is accompanying her during the air transfer, and arrangements have been made at AIIMS Delhi for immediate specialized treatment.
